How to Set Up Live Stream Reminders in VIDIZMO

This guide shows a host how to add reminders to a scheduled live session, choose who receives them, and how a viewer can turn on a reminder for themselves. To learn what reminders are and who gets them, see Understanding Live Stream Reminders in VIDIZMO.

Prerequisites​

  • A scheduled (upcoming) live session in your portal.
  • Permission to create and edit the live session — ensure you belong to a group with the Live Streaming feature enabled, or have a CAL that grants its permission.
  • Email delivery configured for your portal so reminders can be sent.

Add Reminder Times​

  1. Open the live session and go to its Settings.
  2. In the Schedule section, find Remind Before Start (Minutes).
  3. Enter the number of minutes before the start to send the first reminder, for example 60.
  4. To send more than one reminder, select Add reminder and enter another lead time, such as 1440 for one day before. Repeat for each reminder you want.
  5. To remove a reminder time, select the remove icon next to it.

Note: Each lead time must be between 1 and 10,080 minutes (7 days). Leave the reminder times empty for no reminder.

Choose Who Receives the Reminder​

After you set at least one reminder time, the Reminder Recipients option appears.

  1. Save the live session first if you haven't already. Recipients can be selected only after the session is saved.
  2. In Search users to remind, find and select the individual users to remind.
  3. In Search groups to remind, find and select the groups to remind. Everyone in a selected group receives the reminder.
  4. Save the live session to store your recipients.

Note: To change the audience later, reopen the session settings and add or remove users and groups, then save again.

Let Viewers Remind Themselves​

When you've set a reminder time, signed-in viewers can opt in from the live session page.

  • On the upcoming live session page, select Remind me before it starts. The option changes to Reminder on to confirm. Selecting it again turns the reminder off.

Change or Cancel Reminders​

  • Reschedule: If you change the session start time, reminders are sent relative to the new start automatically.
  • Stop reminders: Remove all reminder times from the session, or cancel or delete the session, to stop its reminders.
